Busytown Mysteries

Busytown Mysteries (also called Hurray for Huckle!) is an animated children's show that first aired in 2007. The Canadian studio Cookie Jar Entertainment produced it, and for the second season, Singapore's Peach Blossom Media handled production and animation. In Canada, it ran on the Kids' CBC block; in the UK, it aired on Tiny Pop. Though originally scheduled for Qubo in the United States, it instead appeared on CBS as part of the Cookie Jar TV block, and later returned to the US on Starz.

The first season was directed by Ken Cunningham and produced by Christine Davis. Helix Digital Inc. did the animation, while Fearless Films and Supersonics Productions Inc. handled post production. That season won the 2009 CFTPA award for best children's program and was nominated for the 2009 Pulcinella award for best preschool series at Italy's Cartoons on the Bay festival. The second season was directed by Larry Jacobs, with Ken Cunningham as post director, and produced by Genna Du Plessis and Audrey Velichka.

The show is set in Richard Scarry's Busytown and focuses on teaching deductive reasoning. Huckle Cat, his sister Sally Cat, and their friend Lowly Worm solve mysteries by examining clues, sometimes getting help from friends like Hilda Hippo and the twins Pig Will and Pig Won't. The insect reporter Gold Bug files the mysteries, arriving in his own news van with a microphone.

Joanne Vannicola voices Huckle Cat, Sally's older brother and the detective group's leader. He is the most mature, observant, and intelligent of the trio, though he still acts childish now and then, and drives a red car with his face on the hood. Ellie Ellwand plays Sally Cat, Huckle's younger sister, who is less mature but always supports her brother; she rides an orange scooter with a red helmet. Paul Wensley voices Lowly Worm, a friend who is easygoing and fond of joking, often disguising himself as a long, thin object. A running gag has him sneezing when near something he's allergic to, usually a flower; he drives a red car shaped like an apple.

Julie Lemieux voices both Pig Will and Hilda Hippo. Pig Will is cheery and optimistic, though his and his twin's ridiculous theories, focus on food, and constant arguments often annoy the group. He has straight ears, a green shirt, and a higher-pitched voice, and shares a truck with a sausage-shaped cab with his brother. Hilda Hippo enjoys many
