Franklin and Friends is a CGI animated children's television series produced by Nelvana. It is the second adaptation and spin-off of the classic characters from the Franklin the Turtle series of children's books written by Paulette Bourgeois and illustrated by Brenda Clark, following the first adaptation, Franklin, which was also co-produced by Nelvana Limited. The series serves as a reboot of the 1997 animated television series and was announced by Nelvana Limited on September 28, 2010.
